DESCRIPTION:” RETRACING THEIR STEPS”\n\nRetracing Their Steps will be an exhibition that will impact generations and invoke a conversation about establishing a village and discovering legacy. We will open the exhibition in Benton Harbor\, MI\, the hometown of the Lead Creator. This small yet charming town is predominantly a black dwelling place.  Many families migrated to Benton Harbor during the Great Migration\, in order to find ample    employment within the automotive industry and a better quality of life. Upon conclusion of the exhibition’s launch in Benton Harbor\, we will tour nationally.  Benton Harbor was chosen as the first stop for the exhibit since it is the Creator’s hometown and where the roots of her Retracing Their Steps stories began.  Not only the stories of multiple generations of her family migrating to the midwestern town but so many other families in the area which will be highlighted in the stories that will be shared the night of the event. \n
